Based on his personal interests, his zodiac year, and his preference for a dragon that was not overly fierce or aggressive, Lan Pink worked with him to develop a composition featuring a flowing dragon surrounded by mountains, clouds, and a blood moon.

When the design follows a stone-texture approach, the feeling of material, depth and weathered surface becomes an important part of the tattoo itself. For this piece, Lan Pink used the Buddha as the main subject and created the design in a Black & Grey stone-texture style on a male upper arm. The Buddha’s face occupies the central area, while a hand forming a Buddhist mudra, the Om (ॐ) symbol and a lotus flower continue the composition vertically down the arm.

This dragon and peony tattoo was created by Lan Pink for an international female client. It is not only a new design for the rib area, but also an old tattoo cover-up for a piece that had faded and no longer looked the way the client wanted. Instead of continuing to retouch the old design, the client wanted to transform the entire area with a larger piece, more striking colors, and a stronger expression of her personality.

A minimalist lettering tattoo may consist of only a short sentence, but making those words sit naturally on the body while preserving their intended character requires careful thought. For this project, an international client chose two quotes and a favorite Peanuts comic panel for his forearm. He was so happy with his first tattoo that he decided to return to Lan Pink Tattoo for three more. Each design carries its own meaning, yet all of them follow the same direction: subtle, personal, visible when he wants them to be, and easy to cover when necessary.
